Here I am in Amsterdam, with the privilege of meeting Ad Varheul, a brilliant mind and the founder of the Snoezelen classroom sensory stimulation method, particularly effective for intellectual disabilities. At the end of the fifth day, I can say that I have met a wonderful, warm, and approachable person. Every word he shares conveys expertise and a deep love for what he has built. I am sure I will return home full of new ideas and projects for all our students.

We’ve been here for a week now, and the mindfulness and meditation course is giving me an incredible wealth of practices and awareness. I’m building a real toolbox that I can use as a teacher with my students, because we want a school where every child can’t wait to go. Being in Iceland makes this experience even more powerful surrounded by its breathtaking landscapes, waterfalls, and endless skies.
